ABOUT THE BUST OF STEAMBOAT
EACH YEAR, 35-40 WOMEN ARE DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER IN THE YAMPA VALLEY.
We are here to assist them with financial and emotional support during a very stressful time.
For 18 years we held a live auction to raise funds. Now we’re asking the community to make pledges to hold an event or make donations. Our goal is that the entire town shows their support and there’s PINK everywhere!
The Bust of Steamboat assists people battling breast cancer in Routt and Moffat counties.
From 2014-2018 = $169,000 to local women
We pay for mammograms, wellness visits, biopsies, and some treatment costs for uninsured and underinsured individuals. We have also given funds for a chemotherapy chair, contributed to the purchase of an MRI machine, facilitated the creation of soft and warm hats and scarves made by community members for patients, and contributed artwork for the infusion area.
100 % of your donation stays local
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project (YVCAP) was established in 2000 for women of Routt and Moffat counties to prevent or treat breast cancer, which means all the money raised stays in the community.
We are a program of Northwest Colorado Aid and Support, a Colorado nonprofit since 1984 and 501(c)3
